Service Integration
There are two approaches of setting up LYOMERCHANT, based on the platform the merchants operate the B2C commerce on:
- Plug-in
- API integration
Plugins are recommended for merchants who operate their online venture through a SaaS platform such as WooCommerce and Shopify.
Merchants require a simplistic setup process, and can easily be performed by anyone who is not a software development professional. There is risk or inaccessibility to source code the platform, and the gateway setup requires an immediate plug-and-play approach to go live. This is when a plugin installation is opted over an API integration.
APIs are recommended for merchants who:
1. Operate their commerce through a platform developed by the merchant's technology team —and the source code remains in possession of the merchant.
2. Require a more customized or programmed approach on how the payment gateway is accessed by the customer.
